The Northern Lights, in the right conditions, can be seen quite clearly from the house - truly magical. The area is fantastic for wildlife spotting. Red deer roam free. Golden eagles and white tailed sea eagles are at the top of any visitor's spotting list and, if you're lucky, can be seen from the house. Herons and diving birds visit the shore daily, directly outside the house along with a family of otters. Seals often cruise quietly along the shore at the mouth of the river while whale watching trips can be taken from Gairloch. And of course, the local highland cows!
